Who we are

Pull for Pompe (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a nonprofit organization in the United States.
Our website address is: https://pullforpompe.org.

What personal information do we collect, and why we collect it

Donations, purchases, and event registrations (if applicable)

If you make a donation, purchase a ticket, register for an event, or buy an item through our website, we may collect information such as your name, email address, phone number, billing address, shipping address (if applicable), donation amount or purchase details, and any message you choose to include (such as a dedication).

Payments are processed by third-party payment processors. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers. The payment processor may collect and store your payment information according to their own privacy policy.

Contact forms, email signup, and communications (if applicable)

If you contact us or sign up for updates, we may collect your name, email address, and any information you include in your message.

We use this information to respond to your request, provide updates you asked for, send receipts or confirmations, and communicate about our programs and events.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by using the link in the email.

Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies and similar technologies
If you leave a comment on our site, you may opt in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me,” your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Analytics and advertising (if applicable)

We may use website analytics tools to understand how visitors use our site and to improve our content and services. These tools may use cookies or similar technologies.

If we use advertising or remarketing tools, they may collect information about your visit to show relevant ads or measure campaign performance.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g., videos, images, articles, donation widgets, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor had visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with

We share personal information only as needed to operate our site and provide services you request, such as:
– Payment processors – Authorize.net (to process donations and purchases)
– Email service providers – Constant Contact (to send receipts, confirmations, and updates you request)
– Website hosting, security, and spam-prevention providers – WP Engine
– Service providers who help us run events, manage registrations, or support our operations – Precast Concrete Manufacturers’ Association (PCMA)

We do not sell your personal information.

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long do we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely so we can recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users who register on our website (if any), we store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

We retain donation and transaction records as needed for legitimate operational purposes and to comply with legal, accounting, and reporting obligations.

What rights do you have over your data

If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase personal data we hold about you, subject to information we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Do Not Track signals

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. Because there is no consistent industry standard for DNT, our site may not respond to DNT signals.

If third-party services (such as embedded content, analytics, or advertising tools) are used on our site, those third parties may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites.

Where your data is sent

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

How we protect your information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

Children’s privacy

Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the “Last updated” date above.
